1/14/2024 0 Comments Moment of truth kasie west![]() Overall, this was a nice addition to the series. That being said, I think that storyline was tied up rather nicely. Speaking of her family…I thought that the conflict with her parents would’ve had more of a fight, but it was more or less resolved pretty quickly, which Hadley even comments on as being a little strange. She relies heavily on blocking out the rest of the world with music, and she ends up sharing her love of music with her brother, Eric. ![]() Hadley is a great swimmer, which makes up a large part of her identity. Something that I think Kasie does very well is making us as the readers annoyed with Jackson, and view him as childish, but our views on him change as Hadley’s do (at least to me). Hadley is pretty closed off from everyone, but she lets Amelia (and later Jackson) in, which helps us to learn more about her. I loved the relationship between Hadley and her best friend, Amelia. Moment of Truth Beloved author Kasie West once again delivers a witty, lighthearted romance that will charm her legions of fans and is perfect for readers. I assumed it was Jackson, but there were a few twists along the way that I didn’t see coming that I thought were a good addition. The mystery surrounding who was Heath Hall was actually really good. I didn’t quite enjoy Moment of Truth as much as the first two, but I was so happy to see Abby and Cooper make appearances, and Lacey and Donovan are mentioned! That’s one of my favorite things to read about, and I’d love a novella that shows where Lacey and Donovan are at in their lives now. The first two books in Kasie’s companion series, Love, Life, and the List and Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss are two of my favorite books. She soon finds herself getting caught up in the mysterious world of the fake Heath Hall.Īs Hadley gets closer to uncovering the masked boy’s identity she also discovers some uncomfortable truths about herself-like she might resent the long shadow her late brother has cast over her family, that she isn’t as happy as she pretends to be with her life choices… and that she is falling for the last guy she ever thought she would like. The swim meet isn’t the first event the imposter has interrupted, but a little digging turns up a surprising number of people who could be Heath Hall, including Hadley’s ex-boyfriend and her best friend’s crush. Instead, she’s determined to make sure he doesn’t bother her again. So when a guy dressed as Hollywood’s latest action hero, Heath Hall, crashes her swim meet, she isn’t amused. Totally worth all the hard work, even if her aching shoulders don’t agree. Check out my review of Kasie West’s Moment of Truth, the third book (aka companion novel) in the Love, Life and the List series! (The first book is Love, Life, and the List, and the second is Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss!!) Official Synopsis:Īt sixteen, Hadley Moore knows exactly who she is-a swimmer who will earn a scholarship to college.
