Apparently all of the kids and all of the dogs in this 40-minute montage had names. It's funny to look through the cast list on this site. Now the lyrics are less absurd but dumb and inane. Most of these songs originally had absurd lyrics. The score consists of a series of public domain songs rewritten for the worse. Some creepy lady has like 10 dalmatians (I guess they didn't want to dish out the cash for all101) and she holds a party where the guest list is entirely composed of little kids and their smelly dogs. It has a skeleton plot that just barely props up its carcass. In conclusion, worth seeing as a Disney completest or as someone who wants to see all of the series, but this was the only one that disappointed me hugely. Usually the lyrics in the subtitle/sing along captions are easy to follow in the Disney Sing-Along series but not here, with the coming and going too quickly, some out of sync parts and sometimes not showing at all children and adults will struggle making sense of them here, because not everybody will know all the songs. Even the elaborate set design and sometimes spirited staging cannot disguise the children's overacting, very little of the video educates and in the couple of times it tries to it feels preachy and out of place and it's just far too removed from Disney to make one feel nostalgic. Disney's Sing-Along-Songs series often does a great job entertaining, educating and making one nostalgic, but '101 Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita' never really does either. The other eight songs are hampered by canine twists on standards that are not as clever as they'd like to think ("Hokey Puppy", "Pongo) or ridiculous, overblown and over-zany choreography with some sometimes painful hamming up and mugging from the children ("Take Me Out to the Ball Game", "Do Your Ears Hang Low"), while the rest are bland and forgettable with some of the shoutiest and out of tune singing of any of the Disney Sing-Alongs. Even the use of "Cruella DeVil" and introductions from Professor Owl and Ludwig Von Drake would have made it feel more like a Disney Sing-Along. Because of the theme it must have been a struggle to find songs that fitted the theme without being irrelevant, however it just feels like any old sing along video as apart from "Zip a Dee Do Dah", "Following the Leader" and the live action Dalmatians to a lesser extent '101 Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita' doesn't feel very Disney-like. The sequence of stupid dog tricks is fun too. Two songs are good, and they are "Zip a Dee Do Dah" and more successfully "Following the Leader", the most well sung, the catchiest and the most entertainingly staged. The dogs are adorable and show great personality, the video is beautifully shot, the set design is wonderfully elaborate and who can't help getting nostalgic in the "Following the Leader" number especially. '101 Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita' is not by all means unwatchable. Almost all of them are worth watching in fact, and most of them very good to great. There are some fantastic ones in the series, especially the Disneyland and Christmas outings as well as the 'Zip a Dee Doo Dah', 'Be Our Guest', 'Heigh-Ho' and 'Circle of Life' videos. A shame because even to a young adult who has been a huge Disney fan all her life the Disney Sing-Along-Songs videos are fun, charming, educational and nostalgic, with a great chance to bask in one's favourite childhood memories and know one's favourite Disney songs better. Well, there was also mixed feelings for 'Little Patch of Heaven', but at least there was much more of a Disney feel in that sing-along-songs video than in '101 Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita'.

But the cost isn't cheap at $175 or $150 with a license which isn't clear. But I really don't mind supporting ACDsee development by updating. So, I can stay as-is and just use Ultimate 9. However, it does not mention anywhere that it is a lifetime license - so that makes a question, how long is the license good for? Plus I get additional software (but which I don't really need). Then if I look at the Home Pack 2020 it allows me to use it on three devices yet only costs $150. As I need to use it on a PC and also a laptop (two devices) then it seems that I have to buy an additional ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2020 License Key costing $75, so a total outlay of $175. For this, I apparently get a lifetime license for one instance. If I went for Photo Studio Ultimate 2020 it will cost me $100, I am not offered an upgrade price saving even though I have Ultimate Pack 9 bought in 2016. But after all, I am using software from 2016 and even if the new features don't excite me, I am sure that there must be speed improvements, stability, etc. Probably in my case, upgrading doesn't bring too much. ACDSee Ultimate Pack includes: ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate, Gemstone Photo Editor, LUXEA Pro Video Editor, Video Converter Pro, and ACDSee Photo Studio for. It provides a digital asset management module that makes finding, sorting, and sharing images a breeze. There maybe 20-50 things that I have missed. ACDSee Photo Studio Home is designed for amateur photographers who want to organize their images in a meaningful way so they can be found, shared, and edited with the minimum of fuss. Scroll through your images, zoom in and out, and print with ease. Is there frequency separation in v9? Have you noticed the change in use of OpenCL (the GPU utilization is better). ACDSee Free is a blazing fast image viewer for your PC that shows off your photos, fast. For instance, if you only do a small bit of reorganizing, straightening/cropping, and quick edits there is probably no reason to change.ĭoes v9 have elective editing in both Edit and Develop modes for almost all of the basic parameters, how are the layer in Edit mode different, there are GUI interface updates, too What about LightEq, COlor EQ and pixel targeting. If you don't see many differences than your usage model may not need the update. Minimally, you get the advantage of the money that bought the development resources that many users have put into the tool over the years. If would certainly be a good deal if ACD is offering discounted upgrades, to move from v9 to v 2019. ACDSee Actions created in Photo Editor 10 are backwards compatible with Pro 9/10 and Ultimate 9/10. But I certainly remember being generally satisfied on the differences as I paid for upgrades every year. But it is very difficult to remember the timeline of what happened where and when. Subsequent times will be much faster because previously scanned items can be fetched from the database.Ģ) Is the removable drive excluded from the DB in v9/v10? Excluded items are indicated with a "do not enter" icon.ģ) When comparing v9 vs v10, are conditions the same? For example, in v10, do you have a smaller thumbnail size, do you have items in the file list selected, or do you have the Properties pane shown rather than the Organize pane, etc.I am certain there were many differences between V9 and 10, v10 and v2018, and v2018 and v2019. The first time, ACDSee needs to decode the files and add records to the database, which takes time. To confirm:ġ) Had you previously scanned those items in v9? and are you scanning them for the first time in v10? Assuming the removable drive is not excluded from the databse, it's expected that the first time will be slower than subsequent times. Am on a 32GB M1 Max macbook pro. We're unable to reproduce this issue. V10 started on one of them last night, and was at 50% this morning, and scrolling through the thumbnails in V9 (even while populating) is smooth and fast, where in V10 it is slow and jerky. V9 opens and populates the thumbnails on them in minutes. Have a couple of external SSD's with a very large number of images/photos. Sadly it seems MUCH slower in many respects than Version 9. 1/15/2024 0 Comments Yard ghosts with chicken wirePlaced it around the tree to amp up your outside decor. Even older phones have the ability to turn on Smart HDR, and later models have it built in so that our images use this technology to help ensure balanced exposures, even in high contrast scenes. The ability to record and process RAW means that we can recover details from bright and dark areas, have a greater dynamic range, and even better color in our images than ever before. The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max can produce files using Apple’s proprietary RAW format called ProRAW and it’s likely that this will become standard on subsequent iPhone models. Phones now have the ability to produce the data-rich RAW files that have been the standard for “big” camera photographers for years. Technology has advanced to the point where the quality we are getting, even with the phone’s relatively smaller sensor, is remarkable. Today’s iPhones take advantage of machine learning and artificial intelligence to run sophisticated computational photography algorithms in the background to create images of very high quality. I don’t have to wait until I’m back at the computer to process and share images. When I shoot with my iPhone, I can process, post and share my images immediately. The older I get, the more I appreciate traveling light! The iPhone is small, lightweight, and most often doesn’t require a lot of equipment that I have to lug around. Mainly, because it’s fun! Created with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, Native Camera, ProRAW and Night Mode, processed on the desktop in Luminar 4 with plugins Topaz DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI, and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 Well, this is all true, and the same applies to making infrared images with an iPhone. After all, they argue, the sensor is small, you can’t add lenses for long reach, and the resolution is less than what you get with a big camera. Many of my fellow “big” camera photographers have asked me that question not just about infrared, but about why I bother to shoot anything with the iPhone. Created with 11 Pro Max, Lightroom Pro Camera, RAW, processed with the Lightroom for Mobile Editor Why Bother to Shoot Infrared with an iPhone? As one of my friends and fellow iPhone infrared enthusiasts says, “There’s a lot of jiggery-pokery!” But for the determined, patient photographer, the results are worth it. Instead, everything is done using select camera apps, specific photo settings, an infrared filter, RAW files, and RAW processing methods. With the iPhone, there’s no modification of the hardware, no cracking open the phone to remove the high-pass filter or replace anything inside the phone itself. In the beginning, there was a lot of trial and error and a few screaming pixels, but today, with all we’ve learned, well, we’re getting great results. Last year with the help of friends, and a lot of research and experimentation, that dream became a reality. I love the iPhone’s portability and, with today’s iPhones, I’m not sacrificing much in the way of image quality.įor years now, I’ve dreamed of making IR images with my iPhone. Need help making sense of this chart? Here’s what each term means: The credit mix includes all the types of credit cards, retail accounts, loans and mortgages one has while new credit indicates the opening of accounts (if several are opened in a short amount of time, it can represent greater risk). The factors making up a credit score include one’s payment history, unpaid debt, the number of outstanding loans, how long loan accounts have been open, how much available credit is being used and whether bankruptcy has ever been declared. What is your credit score made up of?Ī credit score is composed of a number of factors, though there can be small variances among the percentages that making up a credit score, according to FICO. Interest rates on these loans can be as low as 1% and borrowers with credit scores below 640 may be eligible for USDA loans but will have to go through manual overwriting, taking factors like cash reserves and low debt into consideration. Credit scores for USDA loansĪn USDA loan is a zero-down-payment mortgage specifically designed to benefit rural and suburban homeowners who have very low incomes, for homes that measure 2,000 square feet or less. One example? A VA funding fee which ranges from 1.4% to 3.6% of your loan amount and showing that you have 2 months’ worth of mortgage payments in a reserve fund. Still, even with zero down, be prepared to pay closing costs and other fees. VA loans don’t require a minimum credit score instead individual lenders determine their specific requirements and the VA doesn’t limit how much you can borrow, but the loan limit for a no-down-payment loan is $647,200 for many counties. You can get a VA loan with zero down payment and they offer lower interest rates than other mortgages, plus they don’t have a monthly mortgage insurance requirement. Credit scores for a VA loan: No minimum credit scoreĪ VA loan is a government loan that’s available to active and veteran service personnel and their eligible surviving spouses. In some cases you can get an FHA loan with a credit score as low as 500 (but this requires a larger down payment), but more commonly you will need a credit score of 580 or higher, a debt-to-income ratio of 50% and other requirements you can find in this MarketWatch Picks guide. “Because FHA loans require as little as 3.5% down, they’re a good option for buyers who aren’t cashing out of another house,” says analyst Jeff Ostrowski. Credit scores for an FHA loan: Credit scores as low as 500 in special circumstancesįederal Housing Administration (FHA) loans are government-insured (though not government-issued) loans that enable home buyers and homeowners with less-than-ideal credit and smaller down payments to purchase a home, refinance their existing mortgage or renovate a home.įHA loans are traditionally used by first-time buyers or buyers who have been out of the housing market for a while. You may be able to get a loan with an even lower score: Depending on other factors like what your income is and how much debt you have, you can potentially qualify for a mortgage loan with a credit score as low as 500. Sara Rathner, personal finance expert at NerdWallet, notes that there are variations in what scores a lender wants, as “there are different credit scoring models that lenders use to make decisions.” That said, plenty of lenders could still be willing to work with you if your credit score is 670 or higher,” says Jacob Channel, LendingTree’s senior economic analyst. “Generally speaking, a score of 740 or higher will help you get the best possible rate on your loan and make it easier to find a lender. I really enjoyed the amount of protection that you get with this shoe and honestly it is one of the best that I have ever tried in this category. Given that it is an indoor shoe, and there are no studs, you can still get stepped on. In the category of protection, this is where the adidas Samba Classic surpasses all of the shoes I have ever tried. Shooting in this shoe, like everything else I have tried, is nothing special. I hope to one day try the predator instincts, or the evopower 1.2, but as of now, I still have not tried a shoe where shooting, feels better. Like I say in all of my other reviews, I have yet to come across a shoe which enhances the experience of shooting. If you like padded leather touches, and you need to bring your game indoors, the adidas Samba Classic, for the price, is a great value.Īs for shooting, this shoe was nothing special. I was used to using shoes like the Vapor X and thin synthetics, and when I picked this up to play in, I was instantly in love the amazing padded leather touch it has on the ball. When you juggle, there is a very dampened sensation on the ball, which I really like. In terms of touch, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my pair of Samba Classics. All in all, if you want really good traction, and a padded leather feel, these are the way to go. The out sole is also very good for street soccer, because it provides so much out right grip, that you can use these almost anywhere. It is quite heavy and it does add quite a bit of weight, but if you know the court is going to be dusty I would definitely go for this. Overall, if you’re in need of an indoor soccer shoe, the adidas Samba Classic’s upper will not disappoint you.Īs for traction, the adidas Samba Classic features a brown gum rubber sole which is very good for dusty indoor courts because it provides lots of great grip. It is on the thicker side, and it has suede covering the forefoot and parts of the mid foot. The upper is made from full grain leather with is very soft once broken in, and provides a very nice leather, padded touch on the ball. These do run true to size, so if you are ordering a pair online I would go with your normal size, and these will fit wide feet, as the leather will stretch. This is a minor thing that can be solved with trusox, so it is not a major problem. I found that if you didn’t tie the laces tight then your heel would slip. One thing I would change is that the liner on the heel is synthetic suede, which is super soft and comfortable, but is quite slippery. They are very comfortable, all things considered. They are great for wearing to school, at the airport, wearing them to work, and some impromptu footy on the streets is never a bad thing. The soft leather upper provides a great comfortable feel while wearing them casually. In terms of comfort this is where the adidas Samba Classic is great. Samba Classic – White/Black – $48.60 (use coupon code “gopro10” Samba Classic – Black/White – $48.60 (use coupon code “gopro10” This is not my favorite shoe, because you can get higher quality shoes in the form of the Mundial Goals, but for the price, this shoe is an absolute steal. For $60 or less, you’re getting great traction, soft leather, and great aesthetics, this is an amazing deal for even $100 in my opinion. *DISCLAIMER* First I just want to say how much of a good value this shoe is.
